The Technical Support and Design Specialist will support users with technical problems that they may encounter in the operations of software, hardware, operating systems, e-mail, etc. This role will also prepare procedures, documentation, and assist the Senior Technical Analyst with various tasks and projects. This position is customer focused with most of the time spent guiding the client with solutions to technical problems. Some of the things you can expect to do day to day:

  • Main contact for all IT support related issues from users reported via Autotask tickets, phone calls and emails
  • Taking appropriate actions to ensure a great resolution within acceptable timeframes for the user
  • Assist our clients with tech support on their laptops, desktops, desktop productivity tools, mobility options, Citrix Exchange, backups, Cisco IP telephone, client side business line applications and conference room resources
  • Assemble, install, upgrade and configure new computer resources, including hardware, software and applications in a Microsoft environment
  • Facilitate repair and maintenance of equipment including servers, PCs, printers, VOIP and conference room resources both directly and through contracted vendors
  • Quickly diagnose and correct system hardware, software, or operator problems

  • S. Degree or equivalent experience, or 1 year of technical school training
  • 1 year of technology support experience
  • Proficient in Windows 7, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange and Outlook
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft Internet Information Server experience
  • Experience with Android and Apple iOS connectivity to MS Exchange server
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint maintenance and support
  • Experience with Firewall maintenances
  • Some experience with Microsoft Windows Server and virtualization technology
  • Understanding of Active Directory User Environment
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP and general networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, FTP & VPN
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (routers, switches, firewalls, cabling, wireless)
  • Knowledge of Anti-virus and backup software
  • Strong communication skills with users of ALL levels, including executives
  • Enjoys helping users get the most from the PCs and related desktop Office technologies
  • Works well in and enjoys a fast paced environment
  • Ability to organize chaotic situations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures within the processes defined
  • Sense of urgency for assignments and tasks
